Kings Come Back Late to Top Panthers
|
The Atlantic City Kings went home winners at Franklin Mountains Field, thanks in large part to starter Francisco Rodríguez. Rodríguez silenced the Charleston Panthers, enabling Atlantic City to grab the 4-1 win. Atlantic City reliever Naoyuki Kikuchi picked up the win, upping his record to 4-2. Brad Bell took the loss. Tom Greer, credited with the save, is now 42 for 46 in save opportunities.
Ron Gale aided the Atlantic City cause with a 2-run single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the third baseman went 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"We've got a great group of guys," Gale said, "and we're having fun right now."
Atlantic City has now won 3 in a row.
