The Boise Bloodhounds did just enough to sneak past the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 4-3, at Elks Stadium. Boise pitcher Francisco Valenzuela earned player of the game honors. Valenzuela got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 9 hits and walked 5 over 8 innings. Valenzuela allowed 3 earned runs. Okanagan is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 6 in a row.

Francisco Preciado aided the Boise cause with a 2-run single in the top of the fourth. For the game, the designated hitter went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Okanagan skipper Bhim Varuni, "and it cost us."
