Mustangs Clip Prowlers in Tight Contest

Mile High Mustangs starter Rintaro Shinoda was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Oklahoma City Prowlers, 3-2. Shinoda got the win, improving to 6-6. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. Shinoda allowed 2 earned runs. With the win, the Mustangs improved to 32-31.
Had Dominic Wicksted not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Wicksted hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Mustangs.
"I really like what we did out there today," Shinoda said after the game.
