Alvarez 'Lights Out' in West Virginia Win
|
West Virginia got a strong outing from Edgar Alvarez as the Dancin' Outlaws defeated the Eugene Emeralds, 4-2, at Prefontaine Park. The Dancin' Outlaws sit in 5th place in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division with a record of 65-73.
Alvarez, the winner, is now 5-6 after putting the clamps on the Eugene offense. In 8 innings of work, he gave up 2 earned runs on 4 hits, while collecting 10 Ks.
"I liked his command," said West Virginia manager Alex Romero. "Edgar was throwing strikes."
