Buchanan Helps Panthers Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Charleston Panthers relied on the hitting of first baseman Gordon Buchanan to stop the Victoria Vikings, 6-3. For the game, Buchanan was 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Victoria's current losing streak is now 4 games.
Buchanan contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Charleston in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-0, Buchanan took a changeup from Shane Jacobs and stroked the home run to left-center. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Panthers to leap in front, 3-2.
