Spirited fans at Woodland Park greeted the Houston Sting for their clash with the St. Petersburg Pelicans.
The St. Petersburg Pelicans topped the Houston Sting, 8-1, with youngster Dave Proctor playing a key role. Proctor was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Pelicans in the win. The current losing streak for Houston has reached 4 games.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Proctor, who is tied for 10th in the DML in triples with 5, hit a 2-run home run. It propelled the Pelicans into the lead, 3-1.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Proctor said.
