Multi-HR Game for Infante in 9-2 Win
|
The San Angelo Mustangs stopped the Okanagan Lake Monsters, 9-2, at Elks Stadium. The Mustangs got a big game from Manuel Infante, who belted 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. John Hensley got credit for the win, improving to 11-8. He allowed 2 runs on 8 hits in 7.1 innings. San Angelo leads the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division by 9 games.
Infante contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for San Angelo in the top of the third. With his team trailing 1-0, Infante took a fastball from Shi-xian Ouyang and stroked the home run to left. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Mustangs to leap in front, 2-1.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Infante told the San Angelo Bulletin.
