The Victoria Vikings got a superb performance from pitcher Eric Stark, but the Charleston Panthers still won the game, 4-3. Stark was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings of 5-hit ball. David Vince was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities. Charleston now has a 3-game win streak.
Andrew Leibowitz aided the Charleston cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 1-2 with a home run and a walk.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno. "The effort was great."
