Aces Solve Colonials, 6-5

The Las Vegas Aces and New England Colonials obliged those fans who came to Sin City Stadium hoping for an exciting game.
The Las Vegas Aces picked up a win at Sin City Stadium, knocking off the New England Colonials, 6-5. Starting pitcher Jin-woo Pi, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. Andy Mendoza, credited with the save, is now 3 for 3 in save opportunities.
Haruki Yoshino went 1-4 for Las Vegas. The 34-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring ground out off John Spracklin. It was his 16th RBI of the season.
"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Pi.
Even with the win, the Aces have a dismal 21-41 record.
