The Chippewa River Chiefs beat the Houston Sting, 7-6, at Woodland Park. Chippewa left fielder Dave Caston earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Marvin Duffy picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 11-2. M嫞imo 聲gel was tagged with the loss. Jason Bouge earned his 8th save in 8 chances.

Caston had a big at-bat with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a sacrifice fly. The River Chiefs went on to win.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Houston manager H嶰tor Flores. "The effort was great."

The River Chiefs bumped their record to 86-45 with this latest triumph.
