Frosties Jolt Warriors with Late Rally

The Barrow Frosties went home winners at The Blizzard Bowl, thanks in large part to starter Fidel Betancourt. Betancourt silenced the Winfield Warriors, enabling Barrow to grab the 2-1 win. Barrow reliever Jimmy Martin was the winner. His record is now 4-3. The losing pitcher was Jose Montalvo. Barrow is now 68-65, Winfield 59-73.
Had Myles Aucoin not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Aucoin hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Frosties.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Winfield manager Eric Stone. "The effort was great."
