The Eugene Emeralds got a stellar effort from pitcher Jung-sang Lee, helping Eugene score a 3-2 win over the visiting Kingwood Knights. The Emeralds bumped their record to 67-64 with this latest triumph.

Vinnie Errichiello was 1 for 2 with a walk for Eugene. The slick-fielding second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Colin Cole. It was his 41st RBI of the season.

"Both teams played hard," said Eugene manager Ricardo Martínez.
