Marauders Win Another One
|
The Maple Marauders defeated the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-2, at Legends Park. Maple center fielder Andreas Kubel was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs. Maple reliever Carlos Alonzo picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Masazumi Ohayashi took the loss. The Marauders have an impressive 40-22 record.
Kojuro Ine hit a bases-clearing double off Masazumi Ohayashi in the bottom of the fifth, which put the Marauders in front, 4-1. In addition to the double, Ine had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"I believe in our guys," said Maple skipper Jesús Alfaro. "I like the energy they're playing with."
