Kings Come Back Late, Nip River Chiefs
The winning streak continued for Atlantic City at The Reservation.

In a close game at The Reservation, the Atlantic City Kings edged the Chippewa River Chiefs, 5-4. Atlantic City right fielder Duane Diamond earned the nod as player of the game. He went 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs. Atlantic City reliever Jeremy Jefferson picked up the win, upping his record to 6-5. Paul Childers absorbed the loss. Tom Greer converted his 35th save in 39 tries.

It could have been a different outcome for Atlantic City, had it not been for José Medina, the 22-year old second baseman . Medina contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Atlantic City up, 3-2.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Medina said.

The first-place Kings have won 13 straight games.
