Hops Sneak Past Sasquatch, 6-5

The San Diego Hops and Seattle Sasquatch obliged those fans who came to The Brew Stade hoping for an exciting game.
The San Diego Hops defeated the Seattle Sasquatch, 6-5, in Roberto Clemente League action at The Brew Stade, with San Diego pitcher Loeck Jurgens named player of the game. San Diego reliever Mitsuzuka Koyama picked up the win to move to 5-2. Dennis Montgomery suffered the loss.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With San Diego trailing 5-4, Akira Kato hit a fastball from Dennis Montgomery to right for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Hops had a walk-off win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Kato, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
San Diego is now riding a 3-game win streak.
