Blizzard Score Late to Upend Dancin' Outlaws, 2-1

Mauricio Valencia could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws lost, dropping a 2-1 decision to the Taos Blizzard at The Igloo. Taos reliever Javier García picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Mauricio Valencia was collared with the loss. Charlie Cruz converted his 16th save in 20 tries.
Marco Colon went 1-3 for Taos. The 19-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mauricio Valencia. It was his 3rd RBI of the season.
"It feels good to get this one," Colon told the Taos Bulletin.
The 4th-place Blizzard have won 4 consecutive games.
