The Boise Bloodhounds defeated the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 5-2, at The Republic today. Leading the charge for Boise was designated hitter Brian Leek. He was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The 'W' lifts Boise's record to 51-77.
Leek had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run double. The Bloodhounds went on to win.
"I thought we played a nice game," Leek told the Boise Bulletin. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
