Hurtado Excels, But Bush Wackers Win
Barrow second baseman Angelo Hurtado had a good game, even if his team did not. The Frosties dropped a 10-7 decision to Brisbane at The Blizzard Bowl. Hurtado was 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Brisbane reliever Alexis Nunez picked up the win, upping his record to 4-7. Jon Chase absorbed the loss. The 4th-place Bush Wackers are now 59-64, the Frosties 64-61.

Had Sergio Sosa not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Sosa hit a 3-run home run. That made the score 8-5, in favor of the Bush Wackers.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Sosa. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
