Jedi Knights Win at Nichols, 1-0
|
Nichols pitcher Wilson Robles gave the Jedi Knights all they could handle, but in the end, New Orleans left The Pond with a 1-0 win. Robles allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5 innings. The win was credited to George McCurry in relief. His record improves to 10-1. Wilson Robles took the loss. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 70-53 with this latest triumph.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from first baseman Phil Lafontaine. For the game, Lafontaine went 1 for 5 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave New Orleans a 1-0 lead.
