Knights Get One-Run Win at Okanagan
|
Okanagan designated hitter Johnny Medina had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 5-4, to Kingwood at Elks Stadium. Medina went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Matt Fernandez, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Dylan Thompkins notched his 20th save in 24 chances.
In the top of the third inning, center fielder Rickey Moses came through big-time for the Knights. With Kingwood leading 1-0, he belted a grand slam home run.
"We take it day by day here," said Moses, "and today was a good one for us."
The 4th-place Knights have won 4 consecutive games.
