Jedi Knights Top Warriors in Extras
|
The New Orleans Jedi Knights topped the Winfield Warriors, 8-5, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Barn. The player of the game was New Orleans pitcher Dennis Hale. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 68-51 with this latest triumph.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from left fielder Yasuhide Nozawa. For the game, Nozawa went 1-1 with a walk. In the top of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 59th hit of the season gave New Orleans a 6-5 lead.
"When this team comes together and plays the way we can, we can compete with anyone," said Hale. "I think we're going to keep proving that."
