Kings Win Another One
|
The Atlantic City Kings topped the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws, 1-0, in Donnie Moore League action at Penlee Park. The player of the game was Atlantic City pitcher Alberto García. Tom Greer notched his 32nd save in 36 chances. Atlantic City goes to 69-49. The win puts them 8½ games up in their division.
Ron Gale drove in one run for Atlantic City. The 23-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Mauricio Valencia. It was his 20th RBI of the season.
"Feels good to get the job done," Gale said after the game.
