Emeralds Continue Skid Thanks to Abreu, Black Squirrels
|
A 4-RBI performance from Ramon Abreu, who leads the DML with a .932 OPS, helped the Tree City Black Squirrels beat the Eugene Emeralds, 4-1. Sherwin Aberin notched his 8th save in 9 chances. The 4th-place Emeralds have dropped 4 straight games.
The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth when Abreu, who is tied for 6th in the DML with a .389 on-base percentage, hit a run-scoring single. It propelled the Black Squirrels into the lead, 2-1.
"A great game, a great day," said Abreu about the win. "I can't complain."
