The Maple Marauders walked off with a big win today at Legends Park.
Cabo San Lucas pitcher Manny Calderón gave the Marauders all they could handle, but in the end, Maple left Legends Park with a 5-4 win. Calderón allowed 2 earned runs on 7 hits over 8 innings. Maple has run its win streak to 4 in a row.
The Marauders got a big at-bat from second baseman Gerard Leeder. For the game, Leeder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 74th hit of the season gave Maple a 5-4 lead.
"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Leeder told the Maple Daily News.
