|
Victoria pitcher Eric Stark did his part in helping his team beat the New Orleans Jedi Knights, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jean-François Blot earned his 11th save in 14 chances. Victoria goes to 45-69, New Orleans to 67-47.
Scott Corkum swatted a 2-run double for Victoria in the top of the fifth. The right fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Stark told a Victoria News reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
