Black Squirrels Lose, 7-6, at Philip Banks Field

Getting a good performance from shortstop Josh Cobleigh, the Bel Air Princes defeated the Tree City Black Squirrels, 7-6. Cobleigh went 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs for the Princes. Toru Saito was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 20 save opportunities. Bel Air improves to 64-47 with the win. They lead their division by 2˝ games.
The Princes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Jose Chaves. For the game, Chaves was 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 34th hit of the season gave Bel Air a 6-5 lead.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Chaves, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
