Victory Pushes Lake Monsters Record to 59-52
|
Okanagan beat New Orleans on the strength of starter Tony Salas's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 7-2 win. In 6.1 innings, Salas surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 59-52 with this latest triumph.
Tim Gamelli, who was drafted in the three round of the 2033 draft, aided the Okanagan cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Gamelli.
