Hornets Win at West Virginia, 3-1
|
Bethesda beat West Virginia on the strength of starter Jung-hoon Pak's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Yuujin McCool converted his 3rd save in 6 tries. Bethesda goes to 53-60, West Virginia to 56-52.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when left fielder Ryoji Nakai hit a single. The Hornets went on to win.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Pak said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
