So Cal and Portland duked it out at Waterfront Park and the Republic came out victorious.
So Cal Republic starter Masafumi Tamura was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Portland Beavers, 6-3. So Cal reliever Pin-zhen Au was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Olivier Martin took the loss.
The Republic got a big at-bat from center fielder Noam Foucher. For the game, Foucher was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave So Cal a 6-3 lead.
In postgame remarks, Foucher simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
So Cal leads the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division by 5˝ games.
