Late Rally by Bush Wackers Secures Win
Brisbane designated hitter Jake Polander made his presence felt in the 7-5 Bush Wackers triumph over the Houston Sting. Polander went 1-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was Brisbane reliever Alex Gonzales, now 1-0. The loser was Sam Thomas. Jose Laracuente converted his 19th save in 22 tries.

Brisbane used the timely hitting of Steve Cagle to capture the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bush Wackers on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Cagle.

The Bush Wackers improve their record to 53-57 with the win over Houston.
