Valdez 'Lights Out' in Coney Island Win
Coney Island starter Francisco Valdez put a stranglehold on the Nichols offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Cyclones to a 3-0 win. The Cyclones, at 65-46, have now won 10 straight.

Valdez subdued the Nichols offense. The Coney Island right-hander allowed a mere 3 hits over 8.1 innings, while fanning 10. His season record goes to 4-7 with the win.

"Losing is easy," said Valdez. "Winning is hard."
