Taos starter Perry Groenendijk put a stranglehold on the Tree City offense. The right-hander had complete command of his slider in leading the Blizzard to a 5-1 win. Tree City has now lost 5 consecutive games.

Nelson Burgos aided the Taos cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a double.

"I found a nice groove out there," said Groenendijk.
