Ishii Slugs Pioneers to 8-4 Win
Pioneers right fielder Akio Ishii put his stamp on his team's 8-4 win over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Ishii hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for Vancouver in the contest. Vancouver is now 26-34, while Cabo San Lucas is 21-38.

Ishii had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 fastball from Ju-ao Ru, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Pioneers a 5-4 lead. It was the 17th home run of the year for Ishii.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Ishii.
