The Taos Blizzard defeated the Tree City Black Squirrels, 9-1, in Donnie Moore League action at The Igloo, with Taos right fielder Mike Carter named player of the game. Manny Becerra got credit for the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4.1 innings. Tree City has now lost 4 in a row.
Carter had a key at-bat for Taos early in the game. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and gave Taos an early 2-0 lead.
"We had a nice day," said Taos skipper Noriyori Shirai.
