River Chiefs Rally For Late Win Over Warriors
The Chippewa River Chiefs defeated the Winfield Warriors, 6-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Barn, with Chippewa left fielder Dave Caston named player of the game. Jason Bouge earned his 2nd save in 2 chances. Chippewa is now 70-38, 7˝ games up in the Lyman Bostock League Dick Williams Division.

Caston had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-2 fastball from Luis Navarro, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the River Chiefs a 4-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Caston.

Caston called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
