The Kingwood Knights defeated the Victoria Vikings, 5-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at Stable Park, with Kingwood first baseman Phil Morgan named player of the game. Edgar Alvarenga got credit for the win, improving to 3-0. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1 innings. Victoria has now lost 7 in a row.
Morgan had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 fastball from Andy Dasher, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Knights a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Morgan.
