Simon Watkins left his imprint on the 4-2 Atlantic City win against the Tree City Black Squirrels. Watkins was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times. Atlantic City reliever Pat Hebert picked up the win, upping his record to 9-0. Chris Hodges absorbed the loss. Atlantic City is now 60-48, 4 games up in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
Atlantic City used the timely hitting of Jose Arriola to capture the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Kings on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Watkins.
