Pelicans Bang Out 8-1 Win Versus Bel Air
|
The St. Petersburg Pelicans got a strong performance from pitcher Victor Dominguez, who stymied the Bel Air offense en route to a 8-1 win at Billy Mathews Field. Even with the win, the Pelicans have a dismal 38-71 record.
Jordan Vargas, who is tied for 8th in the DML in doubles with 18, aided the St. Petersburg cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the first. For the game, the first baseman drew 1 walk in 4 plate appearances.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Bel Air manager Leland Austin.
