The Atlantic City Kings topped the Tree City Black Squirrels, 11-5, with youngster Bob Hern playing a key role. Hern went 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Kings in the win. Atlantic City reliever Tyler Petru was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Sixto Árias. Atlantic City goes to 58-48. The win puts them 2½ games up in their division.
Victor Castelan aided the Atlantic City cause with a 2-run single in the top of the first. For the game, the shortstop was 2 for 4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.
