The Taos Blizzard defeated the Eugene Emeralds, 8-4, in Donnie Moore League action at Prefontaine Park, with Taos left fielder Mike Carter named player of the game. Kuniyoshi Nishiyama got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 4 runs on 8 hits in 6.2 innings. With the win over Eugene, the Blizzard improved to 46-58.

The Blizzard got a big at-bat from second baseman Yeong-il Choy. For the game, Choy was 4-5 with 4 singles. In the top of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 35th hit of the season gave Taos a 4-3 lead.
