The skies opened up and the rain fell at Saints Ballpark.

St. Paul right-hander Danny Mendez pitched his team to a shutout win, 4-0, over the Boise Bloodhounds. The Saints bumped their record to 53-53 with this latest triumph.

Mendez delivered a quality start for St. Paul. The 6' 2" right-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits over 8.1 innings of work.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Mendez.
