Tree City turned a good effort from starter Chris Hodges into a win over the St. Petersburg Pelicans at The Nut House. The final score was 6-1. Hodges, now 5-2, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Jorge Domínguez converted his 1st save in 3 tries.

Early in the game, designated hitter Rodney Beam had a 2-run single for Tree City. It was his 49th hit of the season and put the Black Squirrels on top, 3-1.
