The New Orleans Jedi Knights got a strong performance from pitcher Tony Caines, who stymied the Taos offense en route to a 3-2 win at The Igloo. The Jedi Knights have an impressive 63-40 record.
The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from right fielder Sergio Arredondo. For the game, Arredondo was 2 for 5 with 2 triples. In the top of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring triple. His 7th triple of the season gave New Orleans a 2-1 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Caines said.
