Yepez scores 3 runs in Warriors Win

The Winfield Warriors bested the Taos Blizzard, 10-7, at The Barn. Jose Yepez was named player of the game. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Winfield now sits in third place in the Lyman Bostock League Earl Weaver Division at 45-53.
Yepez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Winfield in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-1, Yepez took a fastball from Javier Polanco and stroked the home run to left. His 7th home run of the season allowed the Warriors to leap in front, 4-2.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Taos manager Noriyori Shirai. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
