Okanagan starter Tony Salas had a strong outing against the Houston Sting at Elks Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-1 win. Dusty Mast converted his 27th save in 28 tries. The Lake Monsters improve their record to 52-45 with the win over Houston.

Zachery Randazzo aided the Okanagan cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman was 1-4.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Houston skipper Héctor Flores, "and it cost us."
