Pelicans Get Past Brisbane for 6-5 Win
Getting a good performance from right fielder Matt Roth, the St. Petersburg Pelicans defeated the Brisbane Bush Wackers, 6-5. Roth went 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Pelicans. The Pelicans saw their win-loss record go to 34-63. At the same time, the Bush Wackers fell to 45-50.

Ismael Correa drew 1 walk for St. Petersburg. The 23-year old second baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring walk off Alex Garrastazu. It was his 12th walk of the season.
