The Atlantic City Kings took Barrow pitcher Fidel Betancourt's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Blizzard Bowl. The final score had Atlantic City getting past the Frosties, 4-1. Betancourt went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 earned run, striking out 5. Pat Hebert got credit for the win, improving to 6-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. The Kings, at 50-45, lead by one game in their division.

Tom Sawyer aided the Atlantic City cause with a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the catcher was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Atlantic City manager Wynn Decker.
