Bush Wackers Come Back Late to Clip Pelicans
The Brisbane Bush Wackers bested the St. Petersburg Pelicans by a score of 9-2, with first baseman Jake Polander getting the main credit. On the day, Polander was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Bush Wackers. Tony Torres picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-2. Juan Duran was tagged with the loss. Brisbane is now 45-49, St. Petersburg 33-63.

With one out in the bottom of the eighth, Sergio Sosa stroked a go-ahead run-scoring single. It was his 29th hit of the season and put Brisbane in front, 3-2.
