The Tree City Black Squirrels did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Eugene Emeralds at The Nut House. Nobody did more than pitcher Juan Bojorques, who captured player of the game honors. Tree City reliever Chris Long picked up the win, bumping his record to 4-5. Cody Mason was collared with the loss. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 47-44 with this latest triumph.

The Black Squirrels got a big at-bat from center fielder Brandon Kessler. For the game, Kessler went 1-3. In the bottom of the 11th, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 2nd hit of the season gave Tree City a 3-2 lead.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Kessler.
