Victory Pushes Blazers Record to 33-24
|
The Bloomington Blazers topped the San Francisco Earthquakes, 3-2, in Thurman Munson League action at Arson Arena. The player of the game was Bloomington pitcher and Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native Pedro Vazquez. Vazquez picked up the win for Bloomington, going 7 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-1. The Blazers bumped their record to 33-24 with this latest triumph.
Had Fernando Franco not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Franco hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Blazers.
